My name is Ruben. I'm a Dutch filmmaker with over a decade of experience in filmmaking and commercials.

Movies have always had an effect on me. I love watching them, analyzing them, and talking about them with friends. For me, and for many others, they are magical.

I started my career, as many have, by just picking up a camera and shooting nonsense with friends and figuring out how everything works.

By the age of 18, I rushed to get my driver's license and bought a rundown Volkswagen Polo. I got onto as many sets as possible, ranging from PA work to catering and driving.

After that, I had the opportunity to shoot some projects myself.
